Before you can begin the driver training for a commercial driver’s license (CDL) you first need to

regular driver’s license. Sage can help you with this process…
Our mission is to make sure every student receives personal attention and hands-on training to make
them the safest and most knowledgeable driver they can be - One Student at a Time. Our “flagship”
program is a comprehensive curriculum that provides the student with the substantial knowledge and
practical skills necessary to become an entry-level over-the-road truck driver. The program
consists of 150 hours of instruction (44 one-student-per-truck driving hours) conducted over 4-5
weeks…
Upon graduation from Sage, you will need to take the CDL Skills Test. There are 3 parts to the
Skills Test: The Vehicle Inspection Test, Basic Controls Test, and the Road Test.
Once you have passed the Skills Test you need to submit the documentation for processing. Some
states will give you the CDL that same day, while others send it to you in the mail.
With your Commercial Driver’s License in hand, and the certification from Sage, you are ready to
start your new career as a truck driver. Sage Truck Driving School is committed to assisting in
completing new truck driver applications, developing a resume, and working with you on professional

One Student at a Time
SAGE’s CDL Training experience and national reputation set us apart from the competition. Our programs are unique: unlike many truck driving schools, SAGE’s truck driving instruction is conducted on a private, one-on-one basis on the road. There is never more than one student in a truck during road time. You won’t find groups of students crowded into a truck for “observation time,” as with most schools.* Observation time simply means that students sit in the truck and watch each other drive. Some trucking schools often do this to cut their own costs and artificially inflate the total hours of “behind the wheel” training – – most of which is not student driving. SAGE believes observation offers minimal instructional value. We believe you learn to drive by driving, not watching.
Unmatched CDL Training Value
At SAGE , the focus is on you and your skills so you have the best chance of getting a great truck driving job. We value our students, their safety and their training. SAGE does not compromise this to save money by training several students in a truck. Your training is too important to us. Our commitment to you is to do our best to provide the most value when you attend a SAGE school. More driving time, more personal attention, more focus on your success. That’s the SAGE difference.
